If you’re a fan of shows like Monk or House, do yourself a favor and check out the newest international crime-drama available to stream via Lakeshore PBS Passport – Professor T. That recommendation doubles if you enjoyed Modus, the first thrilling foreign-language drama to hit the PBS streaming service courtesy of Walter’s Choice programming.
Lakeshore PBS members can binge-watch the entire first season – all 13 episodes – of Professor T, through the member benefit Lakeshore PBS Passport, which provides on-demand streaming of PBS programs, plus select locally-produced programs like Making the Grade and Eye on the Arts (coming soon).
Here’s the rundown…
Eccentric criminal psychology Professor T (Koen De Bouw) has a brilliant mind, but also several neurological disorders which make him complex and often difficult, with a very unpredictable nature. The show’s namesake character unravels complex criminal puzzles for the police with his brilliant mind while also inspiring scores of students with his punchy teaching techniques.
However, outside the lecture hall, he is haunted by a plethora of neuroses that hold him back from getting close to people – he quite literally protects himself from the outside world in a shroud of anti-bacterial spray and latex gloves. Despite this, he teams up with his trusted colleagues Annelies (Ella Leyers) and Daan (Bart Hollanders) to form a team of high-powered advisors that the local homicide department comes to rely on.
